As Maddison turned to climb to the top floor, she noticed her apartment building across the tangle of trees that covered the old house's estate. And then she noticed the room to her left, filled with rotting books and other odd chemical or alchemical paraphernalia.
SECOND IMAGE
Entering the room she saw a workbench with several items as well as books, one that was open. Maddison aimed her flashlight so it illuminated the debris covered pages. After blowing away enough of the dust, plaster, insect husks and more unrecognizable detritus, she could make out what was on the open page.
