3D Render by eligodesign"Terracotta samurai" in Japanese is (haniwa bushi) or simply (haniwa), which are ancient terracotta figures of warriors and other figures from Japan's Kofun period. The word "haniwa" literally means "clay ring," referring to the cylinders of clay on which these figures were often placed around ancient tombs.
Absolutely stunning! I always wondered why they didn't paint the terracotta material to fool people into seeing more humans.
