At the centre, time is no longer measured - it is broken down, dissolved, and absorbed. An antique clock rests on a smartphone like an offering, its structure beginning to fracture as dark, viscous matter spills outward, feeding a device that does not demand, only receives.
Around it, cloaked figures stand in stillness, their gaze fixed entirely on the process. They do not intervene. They do not react. Their presence completes the ritual.
As the sequence unfolds, the transformation intensifies.
The exchange is quiet. Voluntary. Repeated.
What is offered is not dramatic or rare, but constant - minutes, attention, fragments of presence. Individually insignificant, collectively irreversible.
The figures do not resist. Their gaze is fixed, not on what is being lost, but on the mechanism that consumes it.
This work explores the subtle ritual of modern attention, where the most valuable resource is surrendered in the smallest increments—until nothing remains to measure.
