The Watching Wood
3D Render by LalayaFor this render, I was inspired by an actual barn, on which I saw faces drawn by the wood knots. It looked like two faces sharing one of their eye, it was quite impressive...
Here, I didn't try to reproduce exactly the same faces, but to draw inspiration from it. I also tried to bring out the mystery atmosphere and the feeling it gave me.
I created the wood material and the faces on a tilable plane with Substance Painter, and then, I applied in on a cube in Daz Studio. Since the faces looked a bit too much cut bt the edges of the cube, I created two versions: one withe faces and the other one without. Then, I used GIMP to erase some parts of the faces, in order to give them a rounder shape, and avoid this 'cut' aspect.
I hope you'll enjoy it.
