An manchen Tagen ist es schwer zu sagen, ob das, was man sieht, wirklich da ist oder nur genauso gezeigt wird, wie es gesehen werden soll. Etwas wirkt verletzlich, offen, fast zerbrechlich, und doch bleibt ein leiser Zweifel, der sich nicht ganz greifen lässt, eher ein Gefühl als ein Gedanke, als würde etwas fehlen oder zu viel da sein, ohne dass man benennen kann, was es ist.
Man möchte glauben, dass es echt ist. Vielleicht, weil es leichter ist. Vielleicht, weil man es sehen will. Und während man noch versucht, zwischen Nähe und Distanz zu unterscheiden, zwischen dem, was berührt, und dem, was nur danach aussieht, entsteht diese feine Verschiebung, kaum spürbar, aber wirkungsvoll. Nicht genug, um zu misstrauen. Aber genug, um nicht ganz sicher zu sein.
Und genau dort sollte es bleiben, damit es keinen Schaden anrichtet. Zwischen dem, was wahr sein könnte. Und dem, was geglaubt werden soll.

On some days, it is hard to tell whether what one sees is truly there, or merely presented in the way it is meant to be seen. Something appears vulnerable, open, almost fragile, and yet a quiet doubt lingers, not quite graspable, more a feeling than a thought, as if something were missing or perhaps too much is there, without being able to name what it is.
One wants to believe it is real. Perhaps because it is easier. Perhaps because one wishes to see it that way. And while still trying to distinguish between closeness and distance, between what truly touches and what only seems to, a subtle shift begins to form, barely noticeable, yet effective. Not enough to distrust. But enough to never be entirely certain.
And it is exactly there where it should remain, so that no harm is done. Between what could be true. And what is meant to be believed.
