Hailing from the South Ordalen continent along the coast of the Secret Sea, another monster hunter and friend to Mars. Kal's known far and wide, most notably for taking out a 1-story tall degra known as a Cloafutyul (big bird, tiny wings, terrible talons, and a lethal beak) with nothing more than a rope and a spear. It's suggested he's a quiet romantic behind closed doors and that no one ever leaves his bed unhappy. He's also known for being the life of the party in taverns and dining halls alike. He knows when to brag and when to be humble, and when it comes to hunting monsters is an extraordinary strategist. (He also tends to forget how many times Mars has actually had to bail him out of trouble!)

No fantasy world is complete without some monster hunters, plying their trade out in the wilds. And I really like the concept of the 'Secret Sea'.

I mean, SOMEONE has to specialize in runnin' down all them overgrown chickens and the greedy tax collectors, right? Poor Orloff got himself bit in half, though, then Argo had to replace him. Alas, the Secret Sea isn't as secret as it used to be. But great for piracy and a booming shell and pearl trade.

Mars bailing him out changes all of the math! Still sounds like one incredible guy. Wish I had half of what he has with confidence being the leading one. Great character, great scene too my friend.

Thank you kindly, Thomas! The monster hunters are modeled after a pack of twenty-something guys I knew way back when. They taught me how to maintain my truck, change a tire, check all the fluids and NOT blow my engine up, but they could also be as dumb as rocks when it came to their collective sense of self-preservation: "Seriously, Eve, all I did was flick him in the snout. NO IDEA why that bull tried to kill me..."

I'll stick with wrestling the slimy green fridge monster out of the vegetable crisper these days. Way less drama that way! emote

Your character blurbs (cards - I am not sure what to call the writing that goes along with the image) are always incredible, Eve! You capture the essence of your character in just a few lines. I feel like I know them just from reading that brief intro into them. The image is amazing too smile
