The MyChron 4 is a kart instrument that records, samples, and displays key data, such as water, exhaust gas, and underspark temperatures. It is modular, so it can provide beginners with basic information and professionals with detailed data. The MyChron 4 has an inductive engine speed sensor for 2- and 4-stroke-engines, and a lap timer that can be triggered by a GPS, IR-transmitter, or magnetic strip. During a race, the MyChron 4 shows the driver important information in graphics and big digits, and provides 90% of the mechanical information directly over the display. The MyChron 4 turns itself on when the engine starts, and off after eight minutes of inactivity. It can be powered by a 9V-bloc battery for up to 200 hours, or through the vehicle's main power supply. The MyChron 4 displays information such as: Menu button: Low battery warning, digital RPM value, lap number, data recall, OK button, switch off button, and management Lap receiver input: Lap receiver input Temperature input: Temperature input The MyChron 4 can be used for: Road racing: Counts down to the start point, time, and laps missing to the race end Engine tuning: Provides laptimes and data needed for engine tuning Improving driving technique: Provides data needed for improving driving technique The MyChron 4 has three connectors on the back side: Temperature input, Lap receiver input, and MyChron 4 E-box.
