Growing up in the 90s, I remember playing those early action-adventure classics on blocky screens, constantly daydreaming about what our favorite tomb-delving heroine would look like if she were rendered with modern graphics. While the newer reboots are great, for many of us nothing beats the nostalgia, confidence, and unapologetic badass attitude of the original classic look.

That’s why I brought this idea to my Discord community—and the vote was overwhelming. You guys wanted a true classic remaster in the signature Tri-X style!

As the second heroine in my ongoing series of original video game interpretations, TX Lara C. was sculpted from the ground up to capture that perfect nostalgic blend: striking, confident, and fiercely athletic. I spent a lot of time fine-tuning her facial structure and hand-crafting her high-detail 8K skin maps to preserve the core soul of the iconic 90s aesthetic while elevating every detail to modern high-end PBR standards.
