This may be just a issue for me but i hit a initial problem with rendering not starting with SBH, which i resolved by going to preferences tab click show hidden , then select strand based hair. Scroll down the parameters tab and under visible in simulation you should see a greyed out box saying render method . Change that from disk cache to Ram Cache then my render issues disappeared . Started as i would normally expect . As for the product its very good and renders well picture uploaded to prove the point and has all the required poses and face morphs you need to start . All in all a good product as a self proclaimed wolf admirer .
