Just wondering, after searching almost everywhere, if there is any starship with large modular interiors, having different modules and such that could form a cohesive environment. I know I can put together different interiors and make believe, but the thing is they don't match aesthetically/structurally, as in, doors won't match or paint finish, sign design, etc.

Works out pretty good overall though not sure if thats the look your wanting.

Not sure if that link is going to work but check the Works in Progress section in these forums and look for firefly. I seriously can't wait for that project to be finished!

Don't blame you! Just incase you do need something before the Firefly gets released, I'm adding a render of the MK2 Rimrunner. Added a character and vehicle for scale. Its actually pretty sweet and fully articulated in terms of landing gear, weapons and cargo doors and such. Just didn't feel like the promo renders did it justice.

Thu, Oct 09Wow! When I saw it, I thought it was way smaller! I might not need it for, say, tomorrow, but regardless, this is a keeper. I will buy it tonight for sure! I do need something large that could justify an interior that's not just a cockpit and a bunk bed.
As you say, the promos didn't do it justice. that looks perfectly sized for a space craft. is there a ramp for the APC?

Another render of the Cargo Bay area with the cargo bay add on. The more I play with this ship, the more impressed I get. Fully rigged as in a animators wet dream! Space and atmospheric flight with erc dials that are integrated for both so no guessing for up, down, left, and right. All the doors and weapons are set up with erc dials also. The interior add on pac is basically modular though the cargo bay area and captains quarters will load parented to the ship. The other sections seem to be modular so you can set the size of your crew. Anyways, anyone needing a Firefly style ship thats actually meant for space and not a quick run to the grocery store, this might be it.

Fri, Oct 10I love Stonemasons stuff but I don't believe he actually has made a spaceship. He does have a bridge if it fits the tone someone is looking for. Definitely has some sets that someone in a spaceship can fly to and explore! 
I highly recommend Stonemason, Petipet, Porsimo (all of whom have stores at DAZ 3D), and Coflek-Gnorg (who has a store at Renderosity). All of their stuff has the more realistic aesthetic that I prefer -- the kind of stuff that looks like it could actually exist in the not-too-distant future.
