1/72 B-52 bomber complete display.
65I am looking for a well detailed 1/72 scale B-52 bomber. I'm not looking for a kit looking for a true to scale display. Am I in the right place?

I think the best forum for this type of request is the 3D Items Wanted forum, specifying if you're looking for a version for Daz Studio, Blender, or in the OBJ, FBX, etc. format.

You didn't want a kit but that's going to be the only way you get decent detail, that and a lot of work and skill. I have the Monogram 'Buff' sitting on my shelf (gotta dust it) but yer not getting it.
Looks like the Monogram kit is 404 but there's still kits from Italeri available...

Reads like he's looking for a 3D printing version, so maybe the .stl format.

Fri, Feb 06Even as a 3D print it'll need to be printed in sections as it's pretty big. The one sitting on my shelf has a 78 cm wingspan and is 65 cm long. Printing it in one piece would require numerous supports which would then need to be removed, sanded smooth, painted and....I think he'd be better off starting from a plastic kit. I'm sure he could find someone local to build it for him. Buy a young modeller the kit PLUS another of the youngster's choice for him. I know a few folks in our local club that did that to get kids into the hobby AND get some needed models for a small local military museum.
