Best way to package a custom character for distribution?
84Hey there, I'm looking to start uploading my custom characters as bases on the marketplace, but am having difficulty working what to include and what not to include in the files I'm uploading.
I have a character preset, a material preset, and two custom morphs in the character's folder along with their geometry and textures as well. Is that generally all I need to include? I've been using Content Gatherer to try and package it all, but it keeps including every single inactive morph on the Genesis 8 female figure and a lot of unused textures I know aren't being referenced by anything in the character's file.
What are the general basics here?

Renderhub has a great video that explains pretty much everything (including where and how things are stored)

Thanks, I recently submitted a DAZ 3D character on the store as a product - if it needs to be declined because I need to rearrange where the files are, no worries.

Fri, May 01If it's wrong, you should proactively edit the product and fix it.
That way, you won't inconvenience customers and risk refunds and negative reviews.

Sat, May 02That makes no sense whatsoever to put a product up for sale if something's wrong with it, or if you aren't sure it's right.
I can't stand it when vendors do this. We as customers are NOT your beta testers.
