I would like to have an award medallion with ribbon (or maybe a chain, though I find chains can be tedious), that can be used in an awards scene. I like to make fight scenes, but these awards could be used in just about any competition. Ideally a small bit of movement to show the recipient looking at the medal would be nice, though not necessary. Another option might be to show the ribbon hanging, again not a requirement, just an idea.
I've searched sites for something like this but haven't found anything.

Su-permoomega has one as part of a character costume: https://www.renderhub.com/supremoomega/kurt-angle-2k23-for-g8-male
You might be able to get him to sell you the medal separately, it is a separate item on the list.
-Accessories (ribbon with medals),
-The tape comes with a morph, to lift it upwards in: Parameters/Morphs/kurt 2k23 straps
-The medals can be placed individually.

Mon, Jun 22Thanks, that's a good example of what I'm looking for! It even has the morph to lift the medal. I see now that material zones would be handy to have for the ribbon.

Mon, Jun 22I asked him about making a version of that item that would work for my needs.

Mon, Jun 22Well, he responded that he's busy with other projects now. So my request is still open. Hopefully someone will still be interested in making one.
Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for you, but I think it's a really cool idea. A prop like that would fit right in with my 'Allday props' idea collection - so I'm going to post it in my own thread right away and link back here.

I'm currently working on a lot of projects at the same time, so unfortunately I don't have time to experiment with your idea. But I'll definitely keep it in mind and let it simmer there

Pawngame and I are currently experimenting with something that might turn into something. Since I'm involved ('Outside the box' is my middle name
, though, the product will be a bit beyond the scope of normal use - in other words, it's not a one-click solution.
However, the project will have many advantages over the usual one-click products, such as the ability to use it both on bare skin (swimmers) and over thick winter clothing.
As soon as I have more details, I'll post here again

Fri, Jun 26Thanks for the update- it sounds like it's going to be really cool! I like the possibility of using it on both bare skin as well as thick clothing. Hoping it will include both G8 and G9.
Early Stage. Posing Tests.
For G8, G9, the DAZ Dragon, Dog, Cat, Mouse... and Horses
A 3-step project:
* Simulate the ribbon separately (dForce)
* Attach the medal (script by Pawngame)
* Fine-tune the medal (rotation)

Sat, Jun 27@guy91600: thank you.
I'm glad I got to work on something different than what I do, thank you @Pushee-Ri for the opportunity.

Sun, Jun 28I been looking for something like this for what seems like forever. Will definitely be getting it once its available

Teaser image with some information is online
Together with Pawngame (Master of Scripts), I (Master of the Weird) have found a very, very, very (!) flexible solution.
Please make sure to read this (and future) information carefully, since this project is something that doesn't fit into DAZ's mainstream workflow. ... but you're probably already used to that from my projects

Fri, Jul 03This is looking better than I imagined!
When you mention the possibility of the character to hold the medallion, would that include the ability to hold the ribbon so it's suspended from their fingers?

Fri, Jul 03I don't want to promise too much (since I haven't tested it yet) ... but basically, that's exactly how it's supposed to work: the ribbon can be hung on a hook, a hand, a finger ... or even (if someone's into that) on one of those infamous Meipe products (at least when it's upright ... but I think that's already the case when you load it
I'll be posting a few more teaser images little by little (see below in some minutes), which will later be added to the project as user-submitted images. Each teaser will showcase a use case that's a little out of the ordinary. The next image is coming up soon... after that, I'll be working on attaching the ribbon to something... but not to a Meipe product

Fri, Jul 03Not only does it look fantastic, this is going to be a really useful, fun to use product! That award ceremony is an example of one of the types of scenes I would like to do.

Fri, Jul 03I love how versatile this going to be! It allows characters in a scene to hold their medallions differently, an important detail that helps to make a scene more believable.

Fri, Jul 03Thank you very much! That's one of the reasons I like to create drapeables or dropables: they might be a little trickier to use... but they're way better than all the standard DAZ stuff

Of course this was an instant buy for me. I've been having a lot of fun with it!
A quick question: the DS 4.22 isn't a minimum requirement for the script, the script only works with that version of DS?

Mon, Jul 06Hmmm—I'm not quite sure about that. I’ll forward your question to Pawngame right away. Personally, I’ve only tested with versions 4.22 and 4.20. With the latter, I got an error message. Generally speaking, scripts encrypted with version 4.22 should also run with higher versions but not with previous versions. For example, I always encrypt my own scripts with version 4.12, which covers all versions.

Mon, Jul 06@3DSaga:
It doesn't use 4.22 new api calls so it should work with 4.12 which I don't have.
It works with 4.22 & 4.24 at least.

Mon, Jul 06Thanks for your replies- I'm using DS 4.24 so it's user error on my part (not a surprise). It's so cool to have this!
