Akari Aizawa (Coming Soon for Sale) Working on Eyes, Teeth & Nails
3D Render by snakeskinjktI'm currently working on the eyes, teeth, and nails.
I'm especially happy with how the eyes are turning out. I've painted subtle, non-emissive catchlights directly into the eye textures. This means I don't need extra lights just to create eye reflections, which can sometimes throw off the lighting balance on the face and body. The painted catchlights also help keep the eyes looking natural, even when other lights are reflected.
I've put a lot of work into the eyes, hoping they'll be something people will want to use on their other figures as well.
The eyelashes are still the default Genesis 8.1 ones for now, but I'm planning to create my own realistic eyelash morphs too.
For the teeth and nails, I'm focusing on fine surface details that remain visible under different lighting conditions, giving them a realistic look in both close-up and full-body renders.
I'm also keeping the base shape and textures relatively simple to work well with third-party HD morphs. I often use subtle HD details for lip wrinkles, breast veins, stretch marks, and natural fat folds. Rather than putting too much detail into the textures, I prefer to let the actual 3D geometry bring those details to life.
The second image shows the Victoria 8.1 Head HD morph applied at 100%.
My goal is to create a figure that looks great straight out of the box, while still giving artists the freedom to add their own details.
**The images shown here have only had brightness and contrast adjustments. No complex post-processing, generative AI, AI enhancement, face swapping, or beauty filters were used.**
