What a pleasure doing a casual, simple render for a change. Rendered in 22 minutes. No crashes. Yahoo! Apart from the vapor trails, it's a raw iRay render.
Pity it's not an Eastern Dragon that would comply for the Lunar Year of the dragon challenge, which is a Chinese celebration. Any, it was fun doing.

Uhmmm... could it be that you misread the contest rules? It only says it is to celebrate the year of the dragon with a dragon render - it doesn't mean that it must be an Asian dragon... Or 90% of the contestants got that wrong, myself included.

Excellent !
It reminds me an old picture I made (far less good than this one!) where a black dragon was burning down a Messerschmidt Bf-109... I called the dragon 'Spitfire'... smile

I really like the details of the pilot trying to escape from the cockpit!

Lucky for the dragon the planes didn't use artillery on him, or might be the planes were
caught off guard : D Good skyline including the battle scene.

Thanks drjivago. They were shooting at the dragon. There are holes through his wings.
