A Perfect 10 - aka AGD Andie 9, Unboxed
3D Render by EverwildThe title reflects a recent conversation.
Are you serious?! LOOK at the lovely Andie 9 by AGD! After experimenting with Jack (He dun look much like Jack any more in my own universe, but we remember his humble beginnings), I knew I was going to try a lady from AGD's shop, too. I also have my eye on Sophie for G8/8.1, but I'm a little enamored with the G9 models because I love the morphology. I can make whole families by blending the same characters, both male and female in different ways. Sometimes I don't do it well, but the Braithwaite fam is slowly shaping up.
When I saw Andie, I thought she'd make a nice chassis (foundation?) for Mrs. Jeniah Ritter, mom of twin boys Ian and Ethan, wife to Owen Ritter. She's also an amazing apothecary with a background in herbology, and specializes in herbal blends for both teas and soaps. She owns her own shop called Thistledew Apothcary Shop, because "This'll do for whatever ails you!" Jeni's not particularly magical, but every once in a while, depending on her mood, her eyes will change color. Most of the time, though, they're an expressive shade of teal green (or blue).
AGD Andie 9 comes with LIE options, several, actually, for lips and eyes, and one for blush. I am very grateful to creators/vendors who offer this sort of versatility because I'm NOT a developer and learning decent lighting practices has been a commitment and a half. Learning how to change things, such as styling hair that has zero movement morphs can be frustrating. I'm sure it would be much easier if I'd just learn how to import stuff into blender and fix things myself.
Now, I could get behind learning how to make LIE stuff. I dunno what about it makes it fun, except that you can use it across multiple characters. So thank you to the folks who are that thoughtful and generous to include these and so many other options (like the extra and unusual eye colors) with their models. It matters.
I promise I dun share more than maybe 1 out of 5 of my "unboxed" experiments. But I've been gleefully building a library for myself for reference. Some of these characters are just so surprisingly fabulous, that I want to share them. Not my work. Theirs.
Be kind to each other, have some cocoa to hold the brrrr at bay, and have a lovely Sunday.
