LANA TAKES THEIR ORDERS

The three stopped at their table and turned as Lana came from the bar.

"What an honor to have the Earl's daughter here," Lana said a little too softly, thoroughly intimidated.

"We have a roasted chicken if you would like it, My Lady," Lana continued.

"Just some of Sean's stew, please," was Ryanne's reply.

At the word "Earl", Alys' mouth opened in astonishment and Ceridwyn smiled.

THE ARRIVAL OF DRINKS

Alys and Ryanne removed their cloaks, Alys dumping hers on the bench and Ryanne carefully folding hers and putting it away.

Cróga continued to stare fixedly at Ceridwyn, climbing onto the bench.

Lana returned, putting down mugs and after another trip to the kitchen filled the mugs from a pitcher.

"This is our own metheglin, My Lady," she said with a shy smile. "It is very strong."

THE ARRIVAL OF DINNER

A short time later, Lana arrived with the food.

"My Lady, the Innkeeper just made these dishes for you and your ... friend," Lana offered. "He assumed the Banrion will want no meat. He's making something for her."

Ceridwyn turned towards the eager dog and made a small gesture with her left hand. Cróga dipped his head and climbed down from the bench.
