WHAT WAS THAT?

Gwydion knocked Ionatán to the floor in his haste to escape, now clearly seeing that it was Ceridwyn who was threatening him.

"What was that?" asked the two men who remained standing as both dogs surged after the fleeing wizard. For they had seen nothing out of the ordinary, neither dragon nor daemon.

HOT PURSUIT

Gwydion dashed out of the Inn's door with the dogs in hot pursuit and the adventurers not far behind.

SOUNDS FROM WITHIN

The wizard rushed into his wagon, noisily blocking the door. The pursuit stopped outside as they heard an eerie keening from within.

Ceridwyn stopped out of sight of the wagon's door.

Both dogs began to growl as the keening rose in pitch.

A STRANGE LIGHT

An unnatural blue light began within the wagon as the sounds abruptly stopped.
