Ivory, Her Cat Moshi And Poe The Crow (Pt 7)
3D Render by slofkoskyPhysically and emotionally drained, Ivory swayed silently in the night, her body tipping from side to side before crumpling to the ground. Her chest rose and fell in slow, uneven patterns, unable to keep up with the desperate rhythm it had fought to maintain just moments before.
All around her, the four necromancers lay frozen in grotesque poses, their faces locked in masks of fear and pain. Expressions that would never change again. But Ivory, the good witch, didn’t know this. She hadn’t opened her eyes since the wand pulled everything from her, her blood, her youth, her very breath channeling it into the storm of electricity that surged through her limbs and into her enemies. Now, all that remained was instinct. Her body breathed and that was all.
From the edge of the clearing, the original necromancer stirred. Scarred, gasping, barely clinging to life but still alive. He dragged himself across the scorched ground, bones creaking, fingers clawing toward the wand.
Toward her. Toward power.
And Ivory lay unaware just inches away from losing everything she had left.
NOTES:---
Now THIS... THIS just came together much easier this time. Placing the many lights, posing her exhaustion, what I wanted the scene to look like and how it closely mirrored it, dforce behaving on her worn out pose, the color along with HDR edits mostly done in Google Snapseed.
Just DON'T look too close at all of the grass blades going through her feet, and all of the characters bodies.

Nicely done, again. Top storytelling.
Have not tried this with grass, but have you considered using mesh grabber to flatten the blades underneath you character?

Tue, Apr 08Thank you for saying my friend!
I love mesh grabber and seem to use it on most every scene. However, on this one, I couldn't seem to select the grass to be able to mush them down. However, on the latest scene I'm working on at the minute, I was able to select and mush away. Sad, wish I had done it correctly the first time. Thanks for the great advice too and I wish more people used Mesh grabber. It's quite a useful tool.

Tue, Apr 08I only found out recently how to add both the mesh selection tool and the mesh grabber to the top tool bar, so I can access that quickly. Still learning my way with Mesh Grabber, but I am getting better with it.
He still lives?! I love the feeling of suspense you have generated. The nearly dead necromancer clawing his way to get to Ivory's wand is really cool.
Talking about the grass, it seems to me that there is an awful lot of light in the scene. If it were darker, the issue wouldn't be so noticeable. I need to look into this Mesh Grabber though...

Wed, Apr 09Thank you so very kindly Blue Flame! I think I just saw that you responded in the Daz gallery that I finally figured out how to do my blades of grass with mesh grabber, and you're right! It took a long time to find each individual blade of grass and push it through to our land or lower but it was worth it. Thanks again!
