I really like how the textures anchor this image in an era.

Thu, Oct 16And which era would that be?
(I'm not so firm when it comes to fashion of the 20th and 21st. Century)

Thu, Oct 16And what era could that be? That's a good question, but that's not how I wanted to ask it. You set out your story with: "After years of separation, the two sisters meet again." From my point of view, this residence with its very heavy textures has an old-fashioned style, as if this place had stopped in time on the day of their separation. This is of course very subjective, it is not, in any case, pejorative in my expression. I know friends who have disappeared from my sight for years, and who, when we meet again, give me the impression that we parted yesterday. What touches me here is the impression that they are talking to each other as in any sustained conversation, whereas you want us to feel a great temporal ellipse and that they have lots of things to tell each other. I think the setting contributes to making us feel this tension. In your image, it is undoubtedly the numerous photo frames on the mantelpiece that give the impression of being in a place with a bygone past, a bit like when the elderly Rose takes out of her luggage her old photos from the time of the Titanic and her previous life at the beginning of the film of the same name. I know that you particularly appreciate costume reconstructions, however I find in this image a particular patina that anchors it in its time and its nostalgia, a bit like these films from the golden age, which become timeless standards.

Fri, Oct 17My fault. I thought that I had posted the rendering to which I refer here a long time ago. But I had not.
(English Grammar is not my strong side - I hope, it is understandable?)
In the said rendering the two sisters are greeting farewell. And since the 2 characters by buejaunte
are originally kids (or teens?) I imagined this reunion as grownups.
With the help of Victoria8HD and a lot of fiddling with facemorphs I have now made them look older...
I'll see, if I can find the "prequel" to this and then post it here.

I guess the old scene died with my hard drive a while ago, but the new rendering is better.
