Signal Waiting
3D Render by DustRiderStory:
In the neon underbelly of New Babel, Kaela drifted virtually un-noticed through the haze of light and shadow. She was a relic of the rebellion, once a voice in the underground resistance, now a ghost in the system. Her white and pink synth-weave attire shimmered against the grime of the city, a stark contrast to the chaos that surrounded her. The glowing panels behind her flickered with encrypted messages, remnants of a failed uprising coded into the infrastructure itself.
Tonight, she waits, not for redemption, but for a signal. The device on her arm, a hacked relic from the old regime, pulsed faintly with blue light. Somewhere in the city, beneath the hum of neon and the constant thrum of distant machinery, a data courier darted through rain-slick alleys, running a trace Kaela had buried years ago to protect those she loved. The trace, veiled in encrypted shadows, held the power to expose the architects of the neural override project before they struck again, and the courier’s footsteps echoed urgency within the labyrinth of New Babel.
Her hands flexed as she scanned the alley’s reflection-streaked surface. The debris whispered of surveillance drones and shattered promises. But Kaela wasn’t done. In a city built to forget, she was the glitch that remembered. Steeling herself against the cold bite of the neon fog, she pressed forward, every step a silent act of defiance. Somewhere beyond the shimmering puddles and fractured memories, the truth waited to be unearthed—and Kaela was ready to risk everything to bring it to light. The signal would come, and when it did, New Babel’s shadows would finally bear witness to the secrets they harbored.
Image Info:
The scene was setup DAZ Studio Pro Beta 4.24.0.3 and rendered using Iray. Some minor post work was done in Gimp.
The environment is XI Cyberpunk Japanese Castle with additional props from Cyberpunk Kitset (both at DAZ3D). The Character is based on Naturally Bending Damira HD for Genesis 9 with several additional morphs. the the base lighting is provided by the environment lights, the default DS HDRI (set to 0.1 intensity). Several spot lights were used to help set the character apart from the scene (use as key, fill, and rim lights). Iray fog and Iray ground fog were also used.
