Bionic Dreams - Time Stood Still
3D Render by Samara Blue"Sometimes the smallest stay with us the longest."
As the day slowly came to an end, everything seemed to slow down for just a moment.
Outside, in the garden of Bionic Dreams, I watched Lil Patch as if she had just discovered one of those little wonders we so often pass by in everyday life.
To me, Lil Patch has become something like the little mascot of Bioinc Dreams.
Not a high performance machine.
Not a heroine.
Not a perfect creation.
Just a curious little companion who stops where others simply walk by.
Maybe moments like these remind us that technology and nature are not as far apart as we sometimes think.
Somehow, it felt like exactly the right moment to bring this little journey to its end.

LOOKING BACK
This little series grew one step at a time.
Not from a grand master plan, but simply one image after another.
It all began with a single render and then seemed to take on a life of its own. Every new character brought new ideas, new questions, and new little stories. Little by little, a small world emerged that simply hadn't existed before.
Every character in this series came from my own imagination. I never set out to recreate existing characters or build on familiar concepts. Instead, each one found its own place within the story. Some began with a single idea, while others only came to life during the rendering process, or even later in Photoshop, when it suddenly became clear where the journey wanted to go next.
Perhaps that was the most rewarding part of the entire project: not knowing where the journey would lead, but simply following it, one image at a time.
Last year, I didn't have the confidence to enter the Sexy Robot Contest.
In many ways, that hasn't really changed. The artists who regularly win this contest are still playing in a league of their own.
That's why I didn't enter this year to compete with them. I entered because I wanted to give this little series a stage and share its story with others.
For me, this contest became an opportunity to tell a story that had grown across multiple images.
I learned a great deal while creating this series. I became more aware of some of my own limitations, but I also had an incredible amount of fun along the way. And that's exactly why I wanted to share these images in the end.
Thank you for joining me on this little journey.
And to all the participants: I wish you the very best of luck!
MAKING OF
This composite combines a recent DAZ render with a photograph of poppies that I took many years ago, when I was just beginning my journey as a hobby photographer.
That makes it even more special to me that this photograph has now become part of this little story and, many years later, has found a small stage of its own.
Rendered and composited in DAZ Studio and Photoshop.

Ahh The Paper Kites! I love that song.
It's neat to see how the series progressed from one single image. The journey and discovery of each one opened up probably more and more as you wrote about each unit. Turned out amazing my friend and glad that we went on the journey with you.
You should never feel intimidated by the entrants of the contest! You, your art, your thougts are in a league of their own and seeing what you come up with next is always a pleasure.
Best wishes on the contest too my friend.
