There are already so many fantastic submissions. The judges are going to have a hard time picking winners.

Sun, Feb 18, 2024Not many people log into youtube anymore so the likes are lower than it should be. Will renderhub post to some to the alternative video platforms to reach a wider audience. lbry has a growing gaming community but here's a few alternatives to consider,

"...Not many people log into youtube anymore..."
Last I checked, about a third of the world's population uses YouTube. It's the second-most popular website in the world, behind Google.
The promo videos are basically advertisements, so we don't really expect a lot of likes and comments for that type of content.
-----
LBRY - Do you mean Odysee?
I checked that site out some time ago and didn't see much going on there.
I just checked again. It looks like their top featured videos are only seeing triple-digit views.
Unless I'm missing something...
PeerTube - That's not a content hosting or discovery platform. You don't "post there".
PeerTube is a tool that allows you to create your *own* hosted video platform.
With that said, it's already something I've thought about RenderHub using for a different application.
Twitch - Isn't that a live-streaming platform? I'm not sure if that's the right place to upload pre-recorded videos.
I don't spend time there, so please let me know if I'm missing something.
Vimeo - Even though they do have a "watch" section, their priority really isn't to be a discovery platform. It's mainly a hosting platform with some cool editing features.
It's a great solution to use when you want to upload content and share or display it somewhere else.
(Their index page is a sales page, so that pretty much tells you what their priorities are.)
RenderHub does have a Vimeo account, which is used to host the vendors' product videos.
Maybe I'll try uploading the promo videos there and see what happens.
Thanks for your feedback!

Mon, Feb 19, 2024Yes you are right Foxy. I know you tube is good for views but the amount of people logged in has dropped and effected the likes.
Odysee may well not last too long as ownership has changed but there are a few developers still. Vimeo is probably the only one worth the time if it is yourself doing the work. Only so much one can do.
I was just thinking out loud
Have a great evening

Well, we do appreciate that!
A lot of the features that exist on RenderHub are because of feedback from the community.
Don't ever be afraid to share your ideas.

I just read the discussion, among the hosting sites you list there is one that you forgot: dailymotion https://www.dailymotion.com
