Dog Day of Summer
3D Render by KACreativeDesignsI don't know if you've ever gone to the beach with your dog, but it is always an adventure. My dog was obsessed with tennis balls. If she saw a tennis ball she locked in on it. And if anything or anyone was in the way of her reaching her tennis ball...you were out of luck.
I decided to use those memories as the inspiration for this image. The character is my character Maeve. She has tripped and fallen down while playing catch with the dog. The dog is zeroed in on the tennis ball in her hand - not caring that Maeve has fallen. Much to Maeve's, obvious surprise, the dog has launched itself at the ball Seeing the leaping dog getting ready to collide with her, Maeve, tries to release the ball to keep the dog from leaping on her. Jordan, Maeve's boyfriend, is in the background laughing obnoxiously. Maybe Maeve should have tossed the ball in his direction instead. (Just kidding).
Does Maeve toss the ball away in time or is she about to be hit by an overzealous dog missile?!?

I did my usual 3D workflow: Daz for characters, props, and environment. Photoshop 2023 for light sculpting, color toning, and other post work.
