You might not believe this, but I was once a little ballerina girl like these girls. I hated wearing the tutus, but I like the dancing smile

I was more into gymnastics, tennis, and soccer. However, all of us girls on my street growing up went to the same ballet classes each week. The cool thing is that most of us are still friends 50+ years later.

I love creating childhood memories to share with my friends. It makes us smile and have a few good laughs about how we were way back when.

I never got to play in a tutu or take ballet lessons (probably a good thing). I did, however, have my very own goat, a pony with a mean streak, a pet chicken, and numerous dogs (one of which almost ate a photographer on my behalf). But I think dancing in a cul-de-sac wearing brightly colored tulle would have been the bomb.

She looks like she's hoping to get to dance and play with the older girls. And, yanno... "way back when" is getting way, way back there. It's good to catalog those memories with gobs and bunches of color and whimsy!

I think I would have liked owning a goat. I took care of the goats at my summer camp. They followed me all around the camp. They were adorable until they started head butting me when they were hungry! LOL She is running to catch up with them. Our "little sister" Reba was always running after all of us. And you are right, it is becoming way, way back when! LOL

This is such a wonderful scene. In the city, everything is so structured and guarded that I rarely see children carelessly running and playing anymore. When she was 3, my god-daughter used to wear her tutu whenever possible.

There ist nothing more beautiful than those sweet childhood days and memories of it. I love your work here, the sweet girls and realistic dance poses. They are so adorable. smile

I remember a bunch of girls from my neighborhood. We would play pretend and create live performances to entertain our parents and grandparents. We didn't have tutus, instead we'd use chiffon curtains or bed sheets as wedding dresses and veils or just our own summer dresses.
