Texture Portrait #1
3D Render by KACreativeDesignsI am currently taking a photography texture portrait class. I love to add my own 3D twist to all my photography classes. The assignment was to create a dramatic texture portrait. I made my character the dramatic part

wonderful and touching Portrait. Cool outfit, colorcheme an expressions. A very special and likable person. This unique course sounds very interesting, and applying it to your 3D art probably comes naturally to you. Would you like to tell us a little more about this course? It's a very exciting topic for me, too

Mon, Jun 29thank you very much. It is a course by a well known American photographer Joel Grimes. I have gone to several of his workshops and purchased several of his online courses. He teaches about lighting, equipment, and editing in Photoshop. I'm actually taking two of his classes and I've combined them together to make the dramatic texture portrait. The two classes are Still Life Masterclass and Dramatic Portrait Class.
The whole reason that I switched from Photography to 3D was because I could no longer hold a camera because of back and shoulders. But I continue to find inspiration in lighting my 3D scenes and post processing of them through photography and composting classes. I've actually enjoyed taking the photography classes and then applying them to my 3D artwork. I'm looking forward to creating some more interesting textured portraits over the next couple months as I continue with the classes

Neat. It's right on the cusp of the uncanny valley with those sunken cheeks. I find your bigger-than-life eyes are like that, too, and it's almost your signature now. I've used Glyn Dewis videos on YT for a long time to learn more portrait skills. I appreciate photography a lot more now than I did before I started Daz; even all the Caturday pics my hubs shares with me.

Well, they did say do a "dramatic" portrait. I figured those sunken cheeks were pretty dramatic! LOL As for the eyes, yes I am drawn towards larger eyes and irises. I'm not sure when it started or why I do it, but I just do. Some of my characters it is much more apparent than others. Especially in kids. I think for me the larger eyes equal more innocence. I don't know. And now I'm rambling
