Different Hairstyles On One Figure 1-7
3D Render by MjrkI made some tests with different hairstyles. Maybe this could be useful for one or the other, so I’ll post them here. The same figure (Akoulina G8f by iSourcetextures/DAZ) and the same lighting conditions: SASE Promo Lights/renderosity for the lighting on her front and right plus 1 ghost light as a highlight on her left side. (No, I don’t get anything for mentioning these products. I’m just happy that they work so well when you try to make photorealistic renderings) Anyway - the first rendering took over 4 hours to reach 87% (I fell asleep watching „Inspector Barnaby“. It’s nearly a guarantee to fall asleep). The other ones were stopped after ca. 45 minutes to 1.5 hour since there isn’t much progress after that and I was interested in the effect of the hairstyles and not so much in the correct rendering of single strands. Therefore these picture may look a little pixelated.
One more thing I should mention: the OOT hairs are coloured with SloshWorks Iray hair textures since the colours that come with the hair usually take considerably more time to render.
So - the first one is „Felis Hair“ by Akhelios/DAZ. One of those instant beauty hairs.
You put it on and - plouf - it looks good.
The second one is „ OOT Layered Spring Style Hair“, outoftouch.
The third is „OOT Low Ponytail Hair“, outoftouch.
The fourth is „Delphi Hair“, AprilYSH (coloured with SloshWorks Iray hair textures).
The fifth model is „Courtney Hair, AprilYSH.
The sixth is „Heirun Hair“, AprilYSH. The fringe is shortened a bit.
The seventh is „OOT Sophia Hair“, outoftouch, original colour
(fine - this really looks blond, not just yellow : )

Amazing what the hairdo does to change the appearance, like the Courtney Hair best in this selection.

When I make a character, I like at least two hairs that are similar enough. Also, like hair color wizards who make consistent colors for a variety of vendor hairs. Short hair not so much though.

Thu, Oct 16The hair coloring sets from sloshwork are the only alternatives I have, but they are helpful in many occasions.

Thu, Oct 16Wolfie is my choice but have some Slosh too. The problem I see is many of the modern hairs do not take outside mats or shaders.
