This image is a metaphorical depiction of depression and emotional confinement. It reflects how internal thoughts and patterns can immobilize a person, preventing movement, growth, and engagement with the world.

The ten smaller figures restraining the subject are intentionally identical to her, representing fragments of the same self—cycles of negative self-talk, doubt, fear, and hopelessness. They are not external forces, but internal voices that accumulate over time and hold a person in place. Their sameness makes it clear that the restraint comes from within, not from others.

The upward gaze toward light symbolizes the persistent desire for relief and meaning, even when escape feels impossible. Any unsettling elements are symbolic rather than literal, and are meant to communicate the internal experience of depression rather than depict physical harm or exploitation.

Boy I hope this comes across the right way.
