Story:
Gunfire cracked through the streets as Diah spun, skirts flaring like a storm-tossed banner. This side of town was quiet as she entered. It was unusually silent for a smuggler's den. Nevertheless, she relied on her instincts, which ultimately proved accurate. Shadows lunged from the roof tops, metal boots clanging against wood. She answered the break in silence with twin bursts of fire from her ornate pistols. Casings scattered at her feet; each shot a punctuation mark in the chaos she refused to yield to.

Diah moved with the precision of someone who’d survived too many ambushes to count. Her ruffled sleeves and lace suggested demure elegance, but beneath them was a fighter honed by years of betrayal and back-alley deals gone wrong. Her corset hid reinforced plating; her skirt concealed blades and tools; her calm hid a fury that only surfaced when cornered. Tonight, that fury burned bright. Every step she took pushed her closer to the truth she’d been chasing. Who had put a price on her head, and why.

A final assailant dropped from the beams above, thinking he’d caught her blind. She pivoted without hesitation, firing upward in a perfect arc, the muzzle flash illuminating her determined grin. Silence settled again, broken only by the soft creak of settling wood. She holstered her pistols, exhaled, and continued confidently down the fog laden street. Someone had wanted her erased from the map, but they’d greatly underestimated her her skill and resolve. The night wasn’t over, and neither was her hunt.

The character is based on AB Diah for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Female with several additional morphs, and some modifications to her skin shaders. Her outfit is a kit bash Of two zoro_d outfits: Dforce Steampunk Shenanigans for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Female (which is available here, but I actually bought is elsewhere) and dForce Fancy Punk Genesis 8 Females (at Renderosity). The muzzle flash is a VDB from SY Bullets and Muzzle Flash, the smoke at the muzzle of the other gun is from SY Fast Fog and Smoke (scaled way down) both are from DAZ. The lighting is an HDRI from Click N' Render IBL (at DAZ) with the addition of a few point lights as rim lights and a very slight fill light from a spot light.

Minor post work was done in Gimp. I adjusted levels, added vignette, added a touch of unsharp mask, added a touch of light glow with G'MIC-Qt, and of course the signature.
