Story:
Under the silver sliver of a waning moon, Elira stepped into the pumpkin patch, her lantern casting flickering shadows across the gnarled vines and glowing jack-o'-lanterns. Her witch’s hat tilted slightly as she raised her wand, whispering incantations older than the soil beneath her boots. Tonight was the Eve of Emberlight, a forgotten festival once celebrated by the village to honor the spirits of harvest and hearth. But Elira wasn’t here for tradition. She was here to test a spell she’d only half-understood, one buried in her grandmother’s grimoire and marked with warnings.

As her voice faded, the lantern’s glow began to swell unnaturally, pulsing with an intensity that made the air feel charged with an unnatural energy. The jack-o'-lanterns around her flickered in response, their carved expressions twitching as if stirred by something unseen. Elira’s breath caught. She felt an ancient presence rising behind her, the scarecrow’s aura pressing against her back like a held breath. The ground beneath her boots seemed to hum. Her fingers tightened around the wand, her heart thudding in disbelief. She hadn’t meant to awaken anything.

The fog surged above the ground, carrying whispers that didn’t belong to the living. Elira’s shock gave way to dread. The Hollowing—an ancient darkness that devoured memory and light—was stirring again. But now, the patch had a guardian. Whether it would protect or punish, Elira didn’t yet know.

This is the first time use of everything in the scene, except for Elira's hat (from Bewitching for Genesis with modified texture maps, which is apparently no longer available in the store). The qualifying item is SY Real Fog Iray VDB. The outfit is actually dForce MKTG Maid Outfit for Genesis 8.1 Females and Genesis 9 with altered textures to make the red bit orange. I bought some other things during this month to make a Halloween render, but they just didn't work with this character (EG Qineq for Genesis 9 with decreased proportional height, increased proportional head scale/size, and a little bit of FPD Lyra for Genesis 9 to give her bigger eyes and a little more character. The scene is Pumpkin Jack's Pumpkin Patch combined with Mega Terrain: Swampland, and of course SY Real Fog Iray VDB.

Low ambient light is provided by the default DS HDRI set to 0.1 intensity, the rest of the lighting come from the jack-o-lanterns, the candle, a point light near the candle, and two spot lights (one on Elira and one on the scarecrow). I also used Iray for and Iray ground fog. Minor post work was done in the Gimp.
