Given how much renaissance style we've played with recently I decided to put together a volumetrics prop and revisit some of these shots. Lesson learned: better to create a mesh cube with a few subdivisions and most importantly, with an actual UV. It seems to help. Also, the Ring Flash cam works in my opinion better than Daz lights. I have more control. The whole thing saves small as a subset and loads with reasonable defaults.
