Merigold
3D Render by EltucoIt's been a while since Triss Merigold has been featured in images, perhaps on account of the Witcherverse's suffering under Netflix's interpretation and Projekt CD Red's focus on Ciri in the upcoming game. One of the younger sorceresses, Triss's big heart, idealism, and occasional immaturity were often conflicting, which could endear her to some and cause derision in others. WH players can romance her or her dear friend and sometimes rival, Yennefer. Making a play for both is not advised....
Sonne's Triss superbly captures her as depicted in WH, with her non-canonical double buns, hazel eyes and a fair bit of cleavage. Both Wild Hunt outfits and hairstyles are offered, and both are faithfully portrayed and work well unless pushed too hard. Her textures are both realistic and true to WH, and her shape responds well to taste tweaking and anatomical add-ons. Expressions can bring her to life if the normal caution with sliders is followed.
In the images, Triss is closer to Sapkowski's prose and Projekt's earlier game canon than WH, with blue eyes, loose hair and a lady's garden. None of these changes adversely affected Sonne's character to any degree. She wears Breastacular and New Gens for Genesis 8, and two similar hairstyles for no better reason than my curiosity. Some additional detail was provided by Sonsy, which is a must for any female...
The setting is the laboriously constructed stone cottage, set up for the Dangerous Curves competition, kept for myriad fantasy and historical scenes that might come to mind.
Sonne's Triss Merigold is an excellent game rip of a beloved Witcherverse character that hopefully won't fade away. Game rips are a big part of the rendering world, and Triss still deserves her place in it.

Don't forget about side and bit characters - they can shine in renders as well, often in ways that main characters can't or don't.
Nice set of fanart renders, BTW!

Mon, Mar 09Absoolutely! The bit players are often the best. Stormlux is big into those for Wild hunt. Nobody's done Zoltan, though...
Every beam looks enchanted, every shadow wired with mystery. Unreal mood lighting mastery.
