YURYO - CYBER ONRYO - EMERGENCE
3D Render by webstunnerNeither spirit nor machine.
Forged from memory, vengeance, and code, YURYO drifts between worlds as a digital onryō—an apparition born from humanity's attempt to conquer death itself.
Her kasa bears the kanji of Vengeance, Soul, Death, and Spirit. Her wings cut through darkness like blades, while the crimson moon behind her serves as both halo and warning. Bound by chains yet untouched by them, she carries the weight of unfinished stories and forgotten souls.
She does not seek redemption.
She does not seek mercy.
She simply endures.
Suspended between mythology and technology, YURYO is an echo of the past wrapped in steel and shadow—
A ghost for a future that should never have existed.

One of my goals with this piece was to create something that felt uniquely mine rather than relying heavily on existing assets. Because of that, many of the key elements were created from scratch in Blender and Marvelous Designer, including the kasa, drones, kimono, weapon, and even the giant moon in the background.
While some components, such as the wings and sandals, started from existing products, they were heavily modified and customized to fit the vision for YURYO.
This project pushed me far beyond my comfort zone as a 3D artist and gave me an opportunity to continue learning new skills in both modeling and design. I hope you enjoy the final result as much as I enjoyed bringing her to life.

This looks great, and it is even more impressive considering all the effort that went into making it.

Mon, Jun 08Thank you so much! I'm glad the colors and lighting helped create the intensity I was aiming for. I spent a lot of time balancing the atmosphere, so it's great to hear that came across.
Truly impressive. Great color selection and combination. The whole scene evokes an epic apocalypse. It's like arriving to defeat a great boss: that levitation is impactful.
Of course, the setting is just as amazing: pure Japanese essence. I love it. <3
Thank you so much for your support and for using one of my products in this beautiful render
BRAVO!

Mon, Jun 08Thank you so much for the kind words and for the RocketBoost!
YURYO's head is about 60% Shouko, so a big part of her beauty comes from your amazing character. As soon as I saw Shouko, I knew she would be perfect for this project.
I'm especially happy that the Japanese atmosphere came through. Since this is a robot contest, I wanted to blend traditional Japanese elements with sci-fi concepts. The giant red moon is actually an artificial sphere inspired by the idea of a cybernetic "Death Star" slowly approaching Earth, which is why it appears so massive and intense in the background.
Thank you again for your support, and for creating such a beautiful character to work with.

Incredible, webs.
Gorgeous!
Keep it up... and good luck at the contest. That's a strong contender you got there.
Gonna boost it too, just because... xD

Dropping the rest of the images here! They were part of the original post but due to file size limits, I have to repost them here.
