Yesterday I learned that Insydium released Nexus for Blender in a beta and that it is free for customers of X-Particles for C4D (which I am). I did a tutorial and I have to say, I'm impressed.
Since I am going away from C4D because Maxon became evil, I really like that Insydium is providing their particle systems for Blender, even if they are a bit pricey, compared to other Blender particle solutions.But X-Particles/Nexus was amazing in C4D and it seems to be in Blender.
