Patriots (Part 3)

Elea leaving the embassy. Supplies disappearing beneath her coat. The apartment building. And finally, a grainy photograph of his face through the window.
No message. No demands.
Friend or foe, it no longer mattered.
Someone knew.
Elea packed quickly. She emptied the contents of his briefcase into her suitcase and left everything else behind. His uniform, her belongings, the remnants of the life she'd had only the day before.
The last train left at one.
She got him to the platform with minutes to spare.
Keeping his hat low, he struggled toward the open carriage while Elea stayed close enough to catch him if his strength failed.
She had almost gotten him aboard when something farther down the platform caught her eye.
Someone was watching them.

Going in and out between the Summer Fun Contest and Patriots. Also working on my solar panels/battery system to offset the super high power demands of the HVAC system and this incredible heat.
Still not 100% sure which way I'm taking this...

Nice job putting this together. like the monotone lighting. Know what you mean about the heat. Great to have the power to do this stuff but the machines sure do kick out the heat.

Wonderful work, my friend! I'm absolutely loving the look on the male's face, while Elea's concerned gaze really adds a wonderful emotional depth to the scene. The lighting has that beautiful quality of an Old Master's oil painting rich, atmospheric, and beautifully balanced. There's a real sense of character and storytelling here. Absolutely beautiful work

I knew this was yours as soon as I saw it, sweet Thomas. Another sit on the edge of my seat read! Who is watching them. What is their angle. It is never fun to receive photos of being watched. Very stalkerish and controlling. They are trying to write her narrative. I can't wait to see how she is going to flip the script on them! I will take creating art any day over working on batteries and solar panels. My ex was an Electrician who did solar installs and batteries. It was very hot work! I am looking forward to where you are going to take this story. The lighting and pose are top notch as always, my friend <3 And I'm totally sucked into the story...always am with your stories and images <3
