Case Study 3
3D Render by Sean DiVincenzoCase Study 3
Turning a simple sketch into a fully realized visual is one of the most rewarding parts of my workflow. With tools like SketchUp and Lumion, I’m able to take an early conceptual drawing and quickly develop it into a detailed, full-color rendering that helps clients and teams understand a space long before it’s built.
The first image shown here is the original hand sketch created by Yann Leroy, sourced from their Instagram account (@Yann.Leroy). It captures the energy and intent of the design with loose lines and broad forms—an essential stage in the creative process.
Using SketchUp, I translated those lines into a precise 3D model, establishing structure, proportions, spatial flow, and material logic. From there, Lumion allowed me to bring the scene to life through lighting, landscaping, textures, and atmosphere. The final rendering shows how quickly an idea can evolve into something immersive and realistic with the right tools.
This workflow bridges the gap between concept and presentation. What begins as a rough sketch becomes a fully visualized environment—something clients can explore, react to, and get excited about. Tools like SketchUp and Lumion not only accelerate the process, they enhance communication, improve collaboration, and help ensure that the final built project stays true to the original vision.
