View and Inspect 3D Gaussian Splats Online

Use this free online Gaussian splat viewer to open 3D Gaussian splatting scenes directly in your browser. It reads standard 3DGS PLY files, SuperSplat compressed PLY files and .splat files, renders the splats with their view-dependent color and reports the technical details of the scene, with no desktop application and no upload to a server.

View Gaussian Splat PLY Files in the Browser

Drop a PLY or .splat file onto the page to see the scene rendered as Gaussian splats, including spherical harmonics color that changes with the viewing angle. Rotate, pan and zoom around the capture, spin it, switch between Y-up and Z-up, flip scenes that were saved upside down and return to the opening view at any time. Large scenes are shown at reduced detail while the view moves and at full detail when it stops.

Check Splat Count, Spherical Harmonics and Memory

Review the number of splats, the spherical harmonics degree, the file format and encoding, the file size and the GPU memory the scene needs. These figures help when comparing exports, judging whether a scene suits the web or a mobile device, or choosing settings before converting to a more compact format.

Find Floaters, Faint Splats and Oversized Splats

The stats panel reports how much of the scene is made of faint, nearly transparent splats, how many splats are oversized relative to the scene and how many sit far outside the main subject as floaters. Hide faint splats or switch to a point view to see the underlying structure. These checks point to what can be pruned or cleaned in an editor before a scene is published.

Inspect Scene Size, Bounds and Properties

See the dimensions of the main subject and of the full scene, how far the subject sits from the origin, the opacity and splat size distribution, and any extra per-splat properties an exporter has added. For SuperSplat compressed files the chunk count is listed as well. Copy the complete statistics as text to share or keep with the asset.

Use the Viewer for Splat QC and Troubleshooting

A quick look answers practical questions: whether a capture opens the right way up, whether it carries view-dependent color, how heavy it is, and whether floaters or faint splats are inflating the file. This makes the tool useful for checking your own captures, reviewing downloaded scenes, comparing training runs or export settings, and deciding what to fix before using a scene elsewhere.
