3D Render by UdoKStreet children are poor or homeless children who live on the streets of a city, town, or village. Homeless youth are often called street kids, or urchins; the definition of street children is contested, but many practitioners and policymakers use UNICEF's concept of boys and girls, aged under 18 years, for whom "the street" (including unoccupied dwellings and wasteland) has become home and/or their source of livelihood, and who are inadequately protected or supervised.

It was not easy to bring the two children in a family.
Once because the two siblings did not want to be separated (which is of course understandable) and on the other hand that it must be a family which would also take two children.
Both are lucky and come in a family where they were very welcome.
Girl:
Brother, I can do it, I want you to be proud of me.
Boy:
Sis, you don't have to prove anything to me, I know you can do it.

This little story has a happy ending.
Unfortunately, real life looks quite different.
Only about 6% - 8% of former street children are lucky enough to find a new family.

I see they are having a great time at the pool with family and some kitties. Very nice scene.

Sigh. If ONLY someone knew how to utilize her hub more often, she wouldn't have missed the sweet and happy ending to this story for nearly two weeks! I'm so glad you gave this one a happy ending. Like you, I'm well aware of how many stories out there don't end so well. Thank you for the lovely story!
